Artist Quote: "The best part is when you see people engaging with the mural and taking photos. The best part for me is finishing the mural and stepping back. I feel proud of a job well done, because sometimes during the process I’m not sure if its going to turn out any good." Achievements: Having his first art show and launching his art career in 2012, his creative portfolio to date is an impressive one with over 56 shows under his belt, winner of AS Colours Little Help Project t-shirt design competition, gold at the 2013 Illustrators Australia awards, finalist and peoples choice winner at Hazelhurst’s 2013 Art on Paper prize and his recent work with MTV, Adidas, Coca-Cola, BMW, Microsoft and Australia's Got Talent. | About the Artist: Moore, aka Mulga, is an Australian street artist who is well known for his wildly colorful iconic style. He describes his style as "Colorful summer vibing cool cats." His works are most recognized for their intricate line work, bright color details and amusing subjects. Mulga has a bushy pirate beard, sunglasses, flat-cap, and easy-going personality, you can probably see a similarity in his artwork. He left his finance job in March 2014 to focus exclusively on the making of the art. While Mulga is influenced by graffiti artists, most of the time he prefers to hand draw his creations with simple paint markers. Mulga enjoys writing a weird poem for every one of his creations. He released a coloring book, called Mulga's Magical Musical Creatures, and is working on a children’s book in between designing t shirts, painting murals and running the Mulga clothing label. |
